Undefeated World Boxing Association no. 2 minimumweight Eriberto "Yukka" Gejon yesterday elicited ohhs and ahhs from the Japanese boxing press, as he showed his tall and muscular body for the first time during a public workout held at the Teiken Gym in Tokyo, Japan.

Gejon sparred two rounds with world-rated Teruo Misawa, a protege of promoter Akihiko Honda, and refused to give it his all, coyly opting to use stinging left jabs and well-timed uppercuts against the Japanese boy.

"All the press men were very much surprised at his size (tall and muscle), and they could not believe he (Gejon) has no weight-problems..." a Japanese boxing manager told this writer in a long-distance interview.

After the public workout, Gejon said: "I WOULD LIKE TO PROVE THAT I'M A GOOD BOXER ON SEPT. 25.I DONT CARE THE FIGHT GOES TO MIX-UP (FIGHTING) OR SKILLFUL ONE, I'M ALREADY PREPARED AND WILL DO MY BEST"

The other night, Gejon was at ringside when Venezuelan Lorenzo Parra successfully defended his WBA flyweight title via majority decision against Takefumi Sakata.

Tomorrow, at 1PM,the medical examination for both Gejon and WBA champ Yutaka Niida will be held at the Daido Hospital.

Then on Friday, a press conference and rules meeting will be held 1PM at Hotel Grand Palace.

On Saturday, the official weigh-in takes place 3PM at the Korakuen Hall.
