Taking a second fiddle behind the Manny Pacquiao-Hector Velazquez hoopla, Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation super-featherweight king Randy "Komong Bato" Suico quitely slipped out of the country last night for Las Vegas, as he takes part in a pay-per-view card exactly one week from now undeneath the Marco Antonio Barrera-Robbie Peden unification rumble.
The WBC no. 4 Suico, accompanied by his trainer Juanito Ablaca, took the 10:30 flight last night bound for Vegas, ready and in prime shape to face ex-IBF lightweight boss Javier Jauregui at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in a 10-round rumble.
The main event features Barrera and Peden in a WBC/IBF super-featherweight unification war. Suico hopes to challenge the winner.
Suico goes into the fight armed with a 23-1, 20 KO's record while the 32-year-old Jauregui holds a 49-12-2, 34 KO's slate.
Prior to his departure, the iron-fisted Suico had sparred for more than 100 rounds against ex-OPBF welter boss Rev Santillan, RP no. 3 lighteight Dexter Delada, WBF junior welter king Dindo Castanares, and RP no. 4 welter Cesar Yarte.
