In a recurring theme where Filipino boxers go to Thailand only to get beaten most of the time, three more fighters have lost in a fight card in Chainart province.
Light flyweight Romart Sentillas retired in the 8th round of an eleven round bout for the vacant Pan Asia Boxing Association title against Paipharob Nobnom who has beaten three Filipino boxers by stoppage in his last three fights.
Por Nobnom scored a 5th round knockout over Donnie Mabao on Christmas Day 2009 after earlier knocking out Rey Megrino in the 4th round on October 9, 2009.
The loss to Por Nobnom was Sentillas’ fifth setback in his last six fights and raised the question of how a fighter with such a record could get a crack at the PABA title.
In a flyweight bout scheduled for six rounds Apol Suico suffered his fourth straight loss, this time by a 1st round TKO against Tepparith Singwancha whose record, according to boxrec.com is 7-2 with 4 knockouts.
Suico whose record is listed as 10-5 with 6 knockouts has lost all his fights by KO. He suffered a 3rd round TKO at the hands of Marvin Mabait on May 8, 2009 after losing by a 3rd round knockout to Rey Megrino on August 27, 2008 and a 1st round TKO when he faced world title title contender Moruti Mthalane of South Africa in a clash for the vacant WBC International title on September 29, 2007.
The third Filipino to lose was super flyweight Michael Rodriguez who dropped a six round unanimous decision against Dunagpetch Saengmorakot, the 30 year old Thai veteran with a record of 48-1-1 with 19 knockouts. In stark contrast Rodriguez, in the boxrec.com report has a record of 7 wins against 18 losses with no knockouts to his name.
