PACQUIAO TO ACCOMPANY GEJON TO JAPAN!
Filipino pound-for-pound great Manny Pacquiao will be one of those who will be cheering for compatriot Eriberto "Yukka" Gejon when the latter shoots for the WBA minimumweight crown on September 25 in Yokohama, Japan.

Pacquiao, according to Gejon's manager Rex "Wakee" Salud, has already confirmed that he will be more than ready to provide inspiration and support to the undefeated Mandaue City-based fighter in his first crack at the title.

Salud, however, pointed out that everything hinges on Pacquiao's performance against Mexican Hector Velazquez on September 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Salud, who has produced three world champions so far--Dodie Boy Penalosa, Gerry Penalosa and Malcolm Tunacao--had earlier said he will be flying to Las Vegas himself to cheer for Pacquiao on September 10 against Velazquez.

"Manny's presence in Gejon's fight will surely be a welcome thing. Gejon is all primed up for the big event, and he was delighted upon learning that Pacquiao plans on going to Japan with us," Salud confided.

Promoted by Japan's top promoter Akihiko Honda, the Niida-Gejon clash is dubbed "World Premium Boxing No. 1" and will be telecast live on a 2-hour program in Japan on Channel 4/Nippon TV starting at 6:55PM.
