Undefeated World Boxing Association no. 2 minimumweight contender Eriberto "Yukka" Gejon is already being kept in a secure location, as he enters the most crucial weeks in preparation for his September 25 challenge on WBA 105-lb kingpin Yutaka Niida at the Yokohama Arena in Japan.

Cebu impresario Rex "Wakee" Salud, Gejon's manager, has already let his ward use his fully-furnished condominium unit "somewhere in the uptown area" of Cebu near the Capitol to allow the rangy Gejon ample rest every after each training session.

Gejon currently trains at Salud's newly-built gym in Labangon, sparring against local fighters.

"Gejon is being kept away from his wife, as she is very beautiful to resist," a source told this writer, rather tongue-in-cheek.

Gejon, unbeaten in 22 fights with 13 KO's and 1 draw, is set to depart for Tokyo accompanied by manager Wakee Salud, trainer Brix Flores, and a coterie of Salud's business associates.

Meanwhile, Niida has tapped ex-WBC flyweight challenger Luis Angel Martinez and Daniel Saldivar, both from Mexico, as sparmates to prepare for the taller Gejon. Both Martinez and Saldivar stand at 5'7.

Promoted by Japan's top promoter Akihiko Honda, the Niida-Gejon clash is dubbed "World Premium Boxing No. 1" and will be telecast live on a 2-hour program in Japan on Channel 4/Nippon TV starting at 6:55PM.
