SINGAPORE--Two Filipino fighters proved too much against tough opposition here, while Guyana's Leon Moore captured the Pan-Asian Boxing Association (PABA) superbantam belt last night at the packed Suntec International Convention Center here.

Ariel Delgado of the Emil Romano Stable stopped Japan's Zaragoza Uema in the second round behind a searing attack that saw the Japanese crumpling on the canvas for an impressive win.

Australia-based Filipino Ariel Barotillo pressed the action much of the way, earning a unanimous decision over China's undefeated Xu Cong Liang.

In the mainer, Guyana's Leon Moore took the PABA 122-lb crown with a one-sided unanimous decision over Indonesia's Marangin Marbun.

The event was promoted by Top Rated Boxing Promotions headed by Daniel Potter and John Leung.

In the other bouts, Petchjai Yongyuthgym stopped Sugiri of Indonesia in the third; local fighter Mohammad Nor Rizan earned a unanimous nod over Mao Yi Jun; Saddam Kietyongyuth survived two knockdowns in the first and second rounds to come back and stopped Korean Jong-Yoon Choi in the second round.

The well-attended event saw professional boxing in the Lion City after several years of absence.

More to come...
