With his planned super fight against pound-for-pound boxing hero Manny Pacquiao in mediation, Floyd Mayweather Jr had to reportedly depend on a different type of mediation when he figured in a near brawl over the weekend in Las Vegas.
Boxing writer Mark Vester reports that the near brawl took place at the opening of Vanity nightclub in Las Vegas which was apparently an offshoot of the ongoing feud between the undefeated Mayweather and well-known rapper Rick Ross who has blasted Mayweather Jr in several of his songs.
Among the pictures from TMZ was one which showed Mayweather Jr with a fistful of dollars in his left hand, pointing at somebody.
Both Mayweather Jr and Ross as well as their entourages were present at the opening of the nightclub which was hosted by Diddy.
Vester says there are conflicting stories on who started the trouble but claims that several sources at the party indicated that the situation began to get heated when one of the two men bumped the other.
According to Vester once that happened, their entourages immediately became "confrontational."
Diddy had to get involved and calmed both sides down to prevent the situation from getting out of hand.
In a recent shooting incident at an ice-skating facility in Las Vegas, associates of Mayweather were alleged to have fired shots at a former friend of the boxer who was accused of sending Mayweather nasty text messages.
