There is a big possibility that undefeated World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific bantam boss Rey `Boom Boom` Bautista may fly to Thailand to be at special ringside for the August 5 showdown between WBO bantam king Ratanachai Sor Vorapin and Mexican challenger Mauricio Martinez at the resort island of Phuket.

Reports coming out of Thailand have indicated that fight fans in the country are awaiting for Bautista`s arrival to get to see him up close, as the young champ has already gained enough following among Thais.

Bautista is aiming his sights at the winner of the Vorapin-Martinez slugout.

WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo, in an interview, had confirmed that indeed, Bautista is planning to fly to Thailand, to be accompanied by his manager Tony Aldeguer, promoter Sammy `Don King` Gello-ani, and trainer Edito Villamor. However, the plan will have to depend on whether or not Bautista is able to fly to the United States on a date later than August 5.

The young phenom, born in Candijay, Bohol but now based in Cebu, is set to see action on August 19 in a non-title bout in the United States to further improve his stock among mainstream American boxing fans.

Meanwhile, the man who first dealt a loss on Villamor during his professional days is set to return to action during the August 5 event, reported Panoncillo.

`There will be a co- feature event which will feature a comeback of former IBF world champion Ratanapol Sor Vorapin brother of Ratanachai, opponent yet to be named, remember this former champion is the one who gave Edito Vilamor his first professional loss,` informed Panoncillo.
