According to Las Vegas-based trainer Tony Martin, ALA fighter Mark Jason Melligen is both mentally and physically in great shape with just two weeks left before he takes on tall and dangerous Mexican Michel Rosales.

Martin, who has been supervising Melligen's training alongside Filipino trainer Edmund Villamor in Las Vegas, has now sparred more than 50 rounds, and is looking extremely confident in the way he has handled each of his sparring partners.

"We are pushing Mark hard, and he is responding to every thing we ask of him and more. It is a joy to watch him spar, and see the vast improvements he has made over this last year. The likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Roger think highly of him, and regard him as a future world champion," reveals Martin, a British national who was a long-time Cebu resident now based in Las Vegas.

Martin added that Melligen's sparring sessions are going full blast, with a total of 10rds a session, and "It's then you can see the real Melligen, great defense great upper body and head movement, counter and combination punching, speed with power then add his new found instinct to finish off opponents fueled with the confidence he has gained -- You have a force to be reckoned with."

Legendary promoter Bob Arum has informed Martin that that he will be at the fight to watch Melligen perform, while also stating that the Filipino junior welterweight will be fighting on the Pinoy Power 3 card which will be taking place on February 13 next year.
