Both Z "The Dream" Gorres and Mark Jason Melligen, two of the top fighters at the ALA Gym, have continued showing solid work ethic while preparing at their respective gyms in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Gorres, who is working out at the Wild Card Gym in LA under the watchful eyes of trainer Edito Villamor, has slowly but surely shaken off the jetlag after a 13-hour trip from the Philippines the other day, and is scheduled to spar starting tomorrow according to his trainer.

Gorres will take on Colombian Luis Melendez at the House of Blues inside the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Nov. 13, the even of the huge Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto bout.

Melendez was the same fighter who knocked down Fernando Montiel before getting knocked out himself in the final round of their bout back in 2007.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, Mark Jason Melligen continues to put in the needed work as he prepares for Mexican Michel Rosales on the same card with Gorres.

"I have been training at the Mayweather Gym, and sparring against a guy named Nick and Timothy," informed Melligen, who is assisted in Vegas by trainers Edmund Villamor and Tony Martin.

The Bacolod City-raised Melligen is now solely training at the Mayweather Gym following the closure of Bob Arum's Top Rank Gym.
