MAYOL, NIETES WEIGH-IN TODAY IN PUERTO RICO, MEXICO; SOLAR AND CS-9 TO AIR BOUTS

WBO minimumweight champion Donnie Nietes and compatriot Rodel Mayol who will challenge for the WBO light flyweight crown will take part in today's official weigh-in set separately in Mexico and Puerto Rico, respectively.

Also set to weigh in in Mexico is Cebuano Z "The Dream" Gorres, who is seeing action along with Nietes.

The Bacolod-raised, Cebu-trained Nietes will defend his title against interim champion Manuel Vargas tomorrow at the El Palenque de la Feria in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico.

Today's weigh-in will be held at the VIP Zone of the 'Recinto Ferial' in Tepic, Nayarit, according to Philboxing.com.

Gorres and his opponent Cruz Carbajal will also take part in today's weigh-in.

The third man in the ring for the Nietes-Vargas bout is Puerto Rican Jose Rivera, while the judges will be Americans Bryan Thomas and Nardone Carry from Florida, along with Puerto Rico’s Jose Torres.

In Puerto Rico, Mayol will challenge WBO 108-lb champ Ivan Calderon tomorrow at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in Hato Rey.

Both Mayol and Calderon also take part at today's weigh-in in Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, Solar Sports and CS-9 will air the Nietes, Mayol and Gorres bouts starting 10AM tomorrow, according to Solar's Ralph Roy.
