ALA Gym chairman, respected boxing patron Tony Aldeguer, has asked Games and Amusements Board chairman Eric Buhain to investigate a fake promotion publicised by an unscrupulous Korean promoter in which AJ "Bazooka" Banal is reportedly set to face a Korean in a WBO title fight.

Aldeguer told www.inside sorts.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that the ALA Gym had not negotiated with any Korean promoter or signed contracts for a Banal fight in Seoul and wanted the GAB to investigate.

Aldeguer also asked the GAB to inform the Korean Boxing Commission about the anomaly. In addition the ALA Gym chairman informed WBO head official in the Asia-Pacific region Leon Panoncillo and enclosed a copy of the publicity poster announcing the fights of Banal and another Filipino boxer Fernando Lumacad.

Aldeguer provided us with a copy of his letter to Buhain.

HON. ERIC BUHAIN
Chairman
GAMES & AMUSEMENT BOARD
Makati, Metro Manila

Attention: Dr. Nasser Cruz
Chief - Boxing Division

Gentlemen:

We are shocked to have come across a poster in the internet announcing a WBO title fight involving our boxer, AJ Banal against You Big of Korea.

We are not aware of such fight nor have we signed any contract to enter into a fight in Korea .

We are sending you a copy of the said poster with the hope that your office will look into this matter and investigate the unscrupulous promotion.

We strongly suggest likewise that you write the Korean Boxing Commission to protest this irregularity.

It is indicated in the poster that the promoter is Ho Promotion owned by Gyeong Ho Choi and the venue is Seoul, Korea .

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

ANTONIO ALDEGUER
Chairman
ALA Promotions
