Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has revealed that a so-called Filipino businessman who claimed to be ?someone affiliated with Manny? had deceived him by saying he had top buy ?a couple hundred tickets? for the ?Dream Match? on Saturday and in the end has taken a hit and lost money.

Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Time says Arum declined to identify the so-called businessman who reportedly told him he needed the tickets to sell as part of a travel package for Filipinos who wanted to watch the Pacquiao-Oscar De La Hoya fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

According to the LA Times, the individual?s only motive was to scalp the tickets for a higher price but with the economic woes in the US and the rest of the world, they are having a hard time selling the tickets even at face value.

www.insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports earlier learned that some Filipino boxing fans who live in Las Vegas were surprised that they were able to buy $1,000 tickets for only $500.

Arum was quoted as saying ?they lied to me and they?re now paying for it.? He said when they complained to him about losing money, Arum replied ?You win some, you lose some.?

Pacquiao himself revealed he had bout some $550,000 or P27 million worth of tickets for politician and showbiz friends among others.
