From giving Juan Manuel Marquez one great fight to being winless in his last five outings, Jimrex Jaca has definitely seen his better days and probably well on his way to hanging up his gloves for good.
Yesterday, Jaca took on popular Thai Saddam Kietyongyuth in Nonthaburi, Thailand, and was demolished in just two rounds by his younger foe in an event presented by promoter Daniel Potter.
It was Jaca's fifth loss in his last nine outings, and the third successive loss of a career that saw its stock skyrocketing following a gallant stand against Juan Manuel Marquez back in 2006 in Texas.
On the same card yesterday, former Philippine superfeatherweight champion Dodie Boy Agrabio earned yet another win in Thailand with a quick first-round knockout over Fasang Singmanassak. The win was a follow-up to last June's victory over another Thai Yokkeo Sor Poonsawat.
Filipino Nino Suelo, meanwhile, lost via unanimous decision to Wandee Singwancha in their 6-round bout.
Promoter Daniel Potter is now looking forward to putting his proteges Saddam and ex-WBA champ Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai possibly against tougher Filipino fighters such as the likes of Randy Suico and Ranee Ganoy.
