LAS VEGAS, Nevada ? North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super bantamweight champion Bernabe ?Kamaong Llave? Concepcion and his seven-man team led by boxing agent Michael Koncz and manager Aljoe Jaro arrived at the MGM Grand here at around 6:45 in the evening July 23 (U.S. time).

The team, which also included former World Boxing Council (WBC) international bantamweight titlist Jovi Chan-Halog and assistant coach Paul Mayorquin, left Los Angeles, California at around 2:30 in the afternoon on board the white Chevrolet driven by Koncz.

In another car were boxer Vernie Torres and trainer Danny Halabis, a former arnis champion from Iligan City who is now a regular member of the group that stays in the apartment of Manny Pacquiao in Palazzo.

Hours later, WBC ring physician Dr. Allan L. Recto planed in from Laredo, Texas undaunted by hurricane ?Dolly? that lashed the state. Trainer Freddie Roach and conditioning coach Alex Arriza failed to join the convoy and are expected to arrive on Friday.

Since Concepcion will fight Adam Carrera in a 10-round non-title bout in the undercard of the world welterweight rumble between Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico and Antonio Margarito of Mexico, nobody has noticed the 20-year-old champion from Virac, Catanduanes as he entered the famous hotel, site of megabuck events that included the first Erik Morales versus Manny Pacquiao fight.
