Youthful boxing manager and promoter Aljoe Jaro, who manages superbantam sensation Bernabe "The Real Deal" Concepcion along with Michael Koncz and Manny Pacquiao, said that his ward is looking tremendously ready for Adam Carrera when they trade leathers on Saturday (Sunday RP time) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The Concepcion-Carrera shootout takes place underneath the mega-showdown between iconic Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico against fellow world champion Antonio Margarito of Mexico.
"This morning my ward Concepcion ran along the Griffith Park together with Vernie Torres, Diosdado Gabi and their conditioning trainer Alex Arriza," revealed Jaro in a long-distance interview.
Former pro fighter Junver Halog served as the driver for the group.
"Abe weighed around 130 lbs before the morning run, and should be about 127 or 126 after that. No problem as they will be fighting in the 124-lb limit anyway," added Jaro.
Concepcion sparred for the last time last Saturday, a six-rounder against some of the Wild Card mainstays.
"His face is looking good for this fight, as he had enough time to prepare. He even trained alongside the Pacman when he was preparing for David Diaz," explained Jaro.
