CEBU CITY--One of the country's brightest prospects, undefeated WBO Oriental superbantam champ Ciso "Kid Terrible" Morales will defend his title today against Narongnoi Or Muangklang at the New Cebu Coliseum.

The match is the main bout of the "Collision at the Coliseum" card presented by SGG Promotions, Main Event, Tanduay and Pioneer Elasto Seal.

Superstar Manny Pacquiao and WBO bantam king Gerry Penalosa are expected at ringside, Rex 'Wakee' Salud, as well as Saranggani Mayor Jojo Lopez and Mayor Zander Khan.

If victorious, Morales is slated to again defend his title on September 20 in the undercard of the historic Gerry Penalosa WBO title defense against Nestor Rocha in Tubod, Lanao Del Norte which will be promoted by SGG Promotions and Bong Yap with the support of Congressman Abdullah 'Bobby' Dimaporo.

"I am here to win. I will defend my title the best I can. I have prepared so hard for this fight," said Morales in an interview yesterday after easily making the 122-lb weight limit at the official weigh-in supervise by WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo.

The chief support will showcase Australia-based Filipino Ranee "KO Kid" Ganoy who will go up in a ten-round bout against Thailand's Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat.

The Nurala, South Cotabato-raised Ganoy has been penciled to see action in the United States should he get past Sakaorat, a formidable foe who packs wallop in both hands.

"I would love to fight Juan Diaz or Nate Campbell, or any of the elite lightweights in the world," Ganoy said.

WBO Oriental light flyweight champ Bert Batawang will see action in a 10-round non-title duel against one-time world title challenger Benjie Sorolla.

Two of Mindanao's brightest prospects, Paul Apolinario and Balweg Bangoyan, go up against Jayson Layson and Phil Angcamor, respectively, as fans get up close to the potential of the two young fighters.

Another fighter to watch is the young 'Marvelous' Marvin Sonsona, who will trade leathers with Jerome Bontog in a six-rounder.

Korea's Jong Hwa-Lee takes on Brian Diano, Negros fighter Cham "Amlan Warrior" Sedillo goes up against IPI's Jerry Pahal, while Arnel Donal takes on Ariel Balicuatro.
