Philippine bantamweight champion Michael Domingo of the ALA Boxing Gym goes up for the vacant WBO Oriental bantam title when he faces Indonesia's Rivo Rengkung in a 12-round battle on July 26 at the New Cebu Coliseum.

The fight will be one of the undercards being lined up for the mammoth July 26 "Laban na Banal" presented by the ALA Promotions, ABS-CBN and Golden Boy Promotions.

WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo, who is also credited for the establishment of the WBO Oriental arm, has confirmed Domingo's crack at the prestigious title and noted that the Libac, Sultan Kudarat native should be a force to reckon with in the bantamweight division as witnessed by his easly win over Miguel Roman at the World Cup in Sacramento.

"Domingo is the type of fighter who can beat anybody in his weight division regardless if that opponent is undefeated. Domingo is one of the most dangerous fighters I've ever seen," said Panoncillo in a recent interview.

Tickets to the July 26 event are now available at Island Souvenirs, Bisaya Ispisyal and USA Sports boutiques, ALA Gym Banilad Town Center, Pandelicious Punta, and Marfori Bakery.
