Matchroom is delighted to announce today a new five-year partnership as Principal Partner for Brentwood Town FC with a significant investment for the Essex-based Non-League football club.

The renewed partnership reinforces the world’s leading sports promotion's continued commitment to the local community where it has been rooted as its Global HQ base for over 40 years, serving Matchroom Boxing, the Professional Darts Corporation, World Snooker and Matchroom MultiSport.

Matchroom recently announced its extended annual support for the Brentwood Half Marathon, the largest sporting event of its kind in Essex, which looks forward to its 45th anniversary in 2027.

And Matchroom is proud to provide further key backing to Brentwood Town FC, boosting the club's continued growth on and off the field over the next five seasons with ambitious aims to work closely with the local authorities to help enhance facilities, strengthen community programmes, and help create new opportunities for players, supporters and families alike.

Matchroom Sport Founder and President, Barry Hearn OBE, said: “As a global sporting empire which was founded here in Essex and has thrived for over 40 years since, we are incredibly proud to significantly boost our partnership with Brentwood Town FC.

“Sport has the power to change lives. We have lived and breathed that for decades here at Matchroom, working with some of the very best to ever do it. So, as a business based in Brentwood, we are very passionate about supporting local initiatives that will leave a long lasting impact on the community.

“We have a shared vision to work closely with Brentwood Town FC to ultimately unlock sporting excellence, from grassroots through to the first teams, and aspire to deliver crucial developments off the pitch, in collaboration with the local authorities, that will inspire and, eventually, unearth the next generation of sporting superstars from this area.

“And with World Cup fever igniting the nation this summer, it is a great time for the game and for this football club – and I am certain it will be a fruitful five years ahead for Brentwood Town FC.”

The Blues, who reformed in their current guise in 1954 at their Brentwood Centre Arena home having stood at the heart of Essex football since 1877, enjoyed a historic season in 2024/25 winning the Isthmian League North title, following it up with with a fifth-placed finish in the Isthmian League Premier Division in 2025/26, reaching the Play-off Final.

Managed by former Northern Ireland international and ex-West Ham United and QPR star Keith Rowland, Brentwood will kickstart their bid for promotion to the National League South when they begin the new league campaign at home to Burgess Hill Town on Saturday, August 8.

Brentwood Town FC Chairman, Jez Dickinson, said: “To have secured a five-year Partnership agreement with Matchroom says everything about where Brentwood Town FC is on its journey. Whilst obviously the financial support from the Partnership helps the club, it is genuinely having Barry and Matchroom behind us and part of our set up that is the real Silver Bullet. We have assembled once again this year a team equipped to play National League Football now and whilst Promotion is never a given, the clear and focussed objective now is promotion and National League Football.

“We also have a clear objective and plan to develop and enhance our Ground this year, so it is of National League Standards both in quality and size, with new Stands, Changing facilities and a new enhanced Club House and Fan zone.

“We have grown the Football Club into more than just a First-Team Club as well. It has its own ‘Centre of Excellence Academy’ with 250 boys and girls aged 6-12 plus many other EJA Youth Teams from Under 13’s to Under 23’s, a Brentwood Town Women’s Team, and close connections with all local schools with tournaments and games played on a regular basis throughout the year.

“The Brentwood Football Hub as that is what we now have, is the Epicentre of Football in the local area and that is very rewarding, and another reason that Matchroom shares our vision for the Town’s Football Club.

“With all that said, we do need more support from the local Brentwood Authorities and local businesses both big and small to support our appetite for ambition. As Chairman, the overall Club and Matchroom, we simply can’t do this by ourselves.

“It’s exciting times at Brentwood Town FC, and we need the whole Town’s support this year to be our 12th Man and lift us into National League Football next year, so please come over to the Brentwood Centre Arena and support your local Football Club this season.”
