The weights are official, and the stage is set for a massive night of super middleweight action at the Dignity Health Sports Park. On Friday afternoon, undefeated hometown star Diego Pacheco and veteran challenger Immanuwel Aleem both comfortably made weight for Saturday's 12-round main event, with Pacheco's WBC Silver and WBO International titles on the line.
Pacheco (25-0, 18 KOs) stepped onto the scales at a lean 167.8 lbs, looking primed to defend his flawless record in front of a partisan Southern California crowd. Seeking a definitive victory to cement his status as a top mandatory world title contender, the 25-year-old was met by a focused Aleem (22-4-3, 14 KOs). The East Meadow, New York veteran tipped the scales just slightly lighter at 167 lbs even.
The Undercard Weights
The DAZN main card features a highly anticipated co-main event spotlighting Cuban Olympic Gold Medalist Andy Cruz (134.6 lbs) as he takes on Mexicali's durable Abraham Montoya (134.4 lbs) in a 10-round lightweight clash. Additionally, the heavyweights will take center stage during the preliminary card when Diego’s younger brother, Federico Pacheco Jr., locks in at 231.2 lbs for his heavyweight matchup against Oklahoma's Nick Jones, who weighed in at 206.8 lbs.
