UNDEFEATED James Clarion of Kadingila, Bukidnon will challenge reigning WBC Youth World super flyweight champion Reon Fujino of Japan on July 5 at the Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Japan.

“My fight is so exciting because it's my first time fighting and I won't waste this opportunity. I'll do everything,” said Clarion.

Clarion is presently training with coach Carlito Vistal Gomez at the Alas Boxing Stable in Davao de Oro [formerly Compostela Valley].

He is managed by Alan Calalas of the Alas Promotion.

“I will try because I want to get that belt and come home here in the Philippines,” said Clarion.

Clarion and Gomez will leave on July 2 for Japan.

“My practice is okay,” said Clarion.

He said that he feels “a little nervous because they are going to the bastion of the enemy.”

“But I had a lot of faith in myself and in the Lord so I could overcome,” said Clarion.

The 21-year-old Fujino [9-0-1, 5KOs] recently retained the title by knocking out Seok So Yano of South Korea in the 6th round last November 16 in Sangyo Hall, Kanazawa.

Fujino earlier won the vacant title by a split decision over compatriot Otoya Inuzaka last August 16 in Nagoya.

Naoyuki Kashimi of Kashimi Promotions is the promoter.
