Demecillo to fight undefeated Martin on May 16

CARLO “Mr. Suave” Demecillo of Cebu City will fight unbeaten Carl Jammes “Wonder Boy” Martin of Manila on May 16 at the Philippine Navy Gym, Jurado Hall in Taguig City.
“I hope I will be the first one to beat him,” said the 30-year-old Demecillo [19-12-2, 11KOs].
Demecillo recently stopped Justine “Philippine Tiger” Darap of Manila in the 2nd round last December 21 in Naga City.
Demecillo will leave for Manila together with trainer Christopher “Ping Ping” Tepora of Big Yellow Boxing Gym in Cebu.
“The fight will probably reach the round. This will be a great fight,” said Demecillo.
Demecillo earlier lost to Tasana Salapat in a unanimous decision for the WBC Asian bantamweight title last October 29 in Nakhon Sawan.
The 26-year-old Martin [27-0-0, 20KOs], on the other hand, recently beat Aran Dipaen of Thailand by a unanimous decision last October 29 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
