In a breathtaking 65-second blitz, Filipino sensation Miel "The Silent Assassin" Fajardo (14-3-2, 12 KOs) annihilated highest world-ranked Argentinian Tobias Reyes (18-2-1, 16 KOs) to claim the IBF Flyweight World Title Eliminator last night, April 11, in Santa Fe, Argentina.

The fight, promoted by legendary Argentina promoter Osvaldo Romero and broadcast live in Latin America on TyC Sports, was a an awesome display by Fajardo, leaving Argentina fans in awe 🫢

From the opening bell, Fajardo stormed out, unleashing a devastating left mission that sent Reyes crashing to the canvas, making him land flat on his back.

The strong Tobias Reyes bravely rose, only to be met with a barrage of Fajardo's brutal bombs, sending him tumbling down a total of four times.

Each time the brave fighter from the Land of Leo Messi stood up, he was again on Fajardo's receiving end, absorbing all kinds of hellmaker bombs to the head and the body dished out by the thrilling Filipino fighter.

Reyes was so overwhelmed that he could not managed to score not even one punch. It was just as if the whole big full beehive was all over him, with no where to escape the stings. It’s a tough situation to be in.

Then, after the 4th knockdown when the visibly hurt Reyes could not get up anymore, the Argentina referee Mario Gonzalez waved off, signaling Fajardo's thrilling victory.

Actually, whether the third man waved off or not, the big heart Tobias Reyes was already completely done.

Most importantly, this stunning win makes Miel Fajardo the mandatory challenger for Japanese IBF Flyweight champion Masamichi Yabuki (19-4, 18 KOs), who'll defend his title against Mexican Rene "El Indio" Calixto (24-1-1, 10 KOs) on June 6 in Tokoname, Japan. The winner will face the fearless Miel Fajardo next! 👍

The 26-year-old Miel Fajardo, hailing from San Francisco, Agusan del Sur in Mindanao, has cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with in the hot Flyweight division.

Congratulations to Miel Fajardo from Philboxing 🇵🇭 for an unforgettable performance in Argentina, World Championship next!
