Jean Henri Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO and ASAPHIL President, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the RP Blu Boys for their commanding and inspiring performance at the Southeast Asian Games, praising the team for exemplifying excellence, discipline, and national pride on the regional stage.

The Philippine men’s softball team capped off their SEA Games campaign in emphatic fashion, defeating Singapore 3–0 in the gold medal match to reclaim the top podium finish. Anchoring the historic victory was pitcher Jehanz Corro, who delivered a masterclass on the mound with an extraordinary 17 strikeouts, silencing Singapore’s offense and underscoring the Blu Boys’ dominance when it mattered most.

“Performances like these reflect not just athletic ability, but character, preparation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” Lhuillier said. “The RP Blu Boys played with heart and purpose, and in doing so, brought immense pride to the Filipino people.”

The road to gold was marked by consistency and complete team execution. Earlier in the tournament, the Blu Boys overwhelmed Thailand with a convincing 12–0 victory, showcasing explosive offense, airtight defense, and sharp coordination across all facets of the game. That emphatic win set the tone for the rest of their campaign and sent a clear message about the depth and strength of Philippine men’s softball.

Lhuillier commended the entire squad—players, coaches, and support staff—for their professionalism and unity, noting that their success is a testament to sustained development and belief in Filipino talent. “This gold medal is more than a win,” he added. “It is proof that with the right support and mindset, Filipino athletes can compete—and excel—at the highest levels in the region.”
