
Mapua, IIEE Singapore and IM Concio wins the 7th IIEE ANC Cup co-awarded by GM Torre

The IIEE National Chess Olympiad started last June 6, 2025 and ended November 21, 2025 with Mapua crowned as season 7 Overall champion beating IIEE Singapore and Faeldonia Chess Team Philippines. Mapua were led by IM Idelfonso Datu, Chin Lim, Jhulo Goloran, Kelly Rancap, Don Tyrone Delos Santos, Bren Sasot, Kevin Arquero, Michael Angelo Palma, NM Rhobel Legaspi, Sherwin Tiu, Alexsis Enrico Jacinto, Norman Madariaga, Jay Arcenal, Ricardo Batcho, Alexis Emil Maribao, CM Jan Clifford Labog, Jon Pastorizo, Marlon Montoya, NM Gerald Ferriol, Jay-R Sumagang, Paolo Medina, Ergin Nigel Pelayo, Chiara Datu, NM Alvin Alcala and IM Michael Concio Jr., who won the Individual championship last November 29, 2025 at SMX MOA during the 50th IIEE Annual National Convention (ANC) besting FM Alekhine Nouri.
The in-season Champion Singapore got a consolation win in the side event battle of champions versus Mapua, 70-57, in a 45-minute online battle last November 29. IIEE Singapore is led by Reyes brothers, Chester Neil, Mark Gerald, Narquingel and Narquingden together with Adrian Esteva, Leonard Raymond Reyes, Mark Oliver Ingcad, Andres Bautista, Mark James Marcellana, Jayson Visca, FM Mark Jay Bacojo, FM Alekhine Nouri, FM Nelson Mariano III, Jofrey Ampo Sr., NM Julius Sinangote, Jelaine Adriano, Gerald Lumberio, Lourecel Ecot, Benjie Bercadez, Andrew San Antonio, Ariel Espiritu, Joseph Ampo, Russel Salera, Roel Magpantay, Christian Cantil, Jefrey Vegas and team captain Ampo Julius being supported by chapter president Hendrix Cajandab.
The annual awarding ceremony was led by World Hall of Famer GM Eugene Torre, General Nicolas Torre, PBA legends Ramon Fernandez and Manny Paner and 2025 Qatar World Cup 10-ball Champion Jonas Magpantay. The IIEE tournament organizer is led by Golden Sports committee chairman Menandro Lim, Vice Chairman Ervin Fernandez, Secretary Lea Pueca and adviser Allan Alvarez with media partner Exhibit Today Ric Angeles and Hernan Falcon.-Marlon Bernardino-
