In a stunning display of focus and power, Filipino warrior Alvin Camique pulled off a super rewarding victory β the best in his boxing career!
It happened Friday when Alvin Camique busted and stopped world-ranked bantamweight Ibrahim Mafia in four rounds at Viwanja vya Posta Kijitonyama in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The stoppage occurred at 1:53 of the fourth, marking a fantastic triumph for the 28-year-old Pinoy.
A former WBF belt-holder, Alvin Camique (11-4, 5 KOs) dropped the previously unbeaten Ibrahim Mafia (13-1-1, 9 KOs) with a devastating counter overhand right midway through the fourth chapter.
Despite being given a nice helping hand by the referee with a slow count to recover, Ibrahim couldn't handle Alvin's follow-up attack.
The Filipino fighter came all over him like an earthquake, landing another awesome right hand, sending Mafia reeling into the corner where the referee had no choice but to stop it.
This victory represents a MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH for the 28-year-old Alvin Camique, showcasing his fighting skills to African fans in the bantamweight division.
Sad for the 23-year-old Ibrahim Mafia who was the world ranked WBC #11 in the 118 pounds weight class.
Ibrahim Mafia suffered his FIRST pro defeat β ending an impressive five-fight winning streak that included a KO win over former title challenger Prasitsak Phaprom π².
His key to victory in Africa: Alvin Camique's skilled counterpunching made his the winner, his counters proved too much for the local boy.
Alvin knew how to capitalize on Ibrahim Mafia's offense, using it to his advantage β kinda like Juan Manuel Marquezβs technique. It worked BEAUTIFULLY for the Filipino.
The win highlights Camique's skill and power, elevating his profile in world boxing β potentially opening doors to title opportunities in the 118-pound division! I hope so!
This triumph stands as a testament to Alvin Camique's perseverance and passion for boxing, making this African victory the most stunning moments of his career.
The battle was promoted by Tanzania promoter Anathol Wannah of Mafia Boxing Promotions, LIVE on Tanzania Azam TV πΊ.
CONGRATULATIONS, ALVIN CAMIQUE FROM PHILBOXING, THE FILIPINO BOXING PORTAL!!! π΅πππππ₯
