
150 to join Rotary Heritage Aquathlon

MORE than 150 aquathletes will see action in the Rotary Heritage Aquathlon set on September 7, Sunday at the Dawis Heritage Wharf in Barangay Dawis, Digos City.
“The participants are coming from General Santos City, Davao City, Koronadal and Digos,” said Rotary Club of South Digos president Justine Patrick Sarabia.
The gun starts at 5:40 a.m. with the Sprint featuring 750 meter swim and 3-kilometer run.
It will be followed at 5:45 a.m. by Modified Standard – 2,000m swim and 6km run and the relay.
“Aside from the top three male and female, it’s also an age-category from 19-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-59 and 60 and above,” said
There will also be the aquathlon kids starting at 7 a.m. with no cut-off.
There will be top three awards per category:
6-8 [100m swim-1km run]
9-11 [200m swim-1km run]
12-14 [300m swim-2km run]
15-18 [400m swim-2km run]
The registration fees are P2,000 for kids, P2,500 for sprint, P2,700 for modified standard solo and P4,900 for two-man relay team.
“The inclusions are time chip, acrylic medal, full sublimation shirt, post-race light snacks,” said Sarabia.
The claiming of race kit is on September 6, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dawis Heritage Wharf.
