LOCAL hero Japeth “Pinnacle” Requito of Tagum City survived two rounds of hardship to secure a win over Bambam ‘The Iron Man” Thounaojam of India last Sunday night, August 31 at the Immanuel School of Davao in NHA Buhangin, Davao City.

The 23-year-old Thounaojam immediately grounded Requito at the start of the fight.

Requito, 20, tried to topple Bambam but he would always put him down on the ground until the second round.

In the third canto, Requito managed to also use his advantage for a naked choke and the stoppage.

“I’m grateful for the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication you’ve given me in this fight,” said Requito.

It was Requito’s 7th win against three losses while Bambam suffered his third loss against 16 wins.

Requito was coached by Jay “El Calibre” Verdadero with Elmer Permacio as the manager.

The event was the “Reality Fighting League 3: Rise of Heroes” with Lloyd Anthony Abucayan as event director.

The sponsors are Pocari Sweat, Nature’s Spring Water, Pepsi and Lagutok Wellness Center.

“We will have the next show in December,” said RFL president Alma Rhea Alojipan.
