World-ranked Jayson Vayson of Highland Gym is more than ready to face Puerto Rican Oscar Collazo in a thrilling fight for the WBO/WBA 105-pounds world titles.

Jayson Vayson: A Force to Be Reckoned With

With a record of 14-1-1 and 8 knockouts, Vayson has proven himself to be a formidable opponent with skills and heart.

His recent four-fight winning streak, including an explosive second-round knockout of Japan's Ryuya Yamanaka to capture the WBO Asia Pacific 108 title, has solidified his position as a genuine world-class contender.

Vayson previously captured the WBC Asia Continental 108 belt with a hard-fought split decision win over India's Nutlai Lalbiakkima.

He's a force to be reckoned with, and his confidence is growing with each victory.

Vayson's Path to the Championship

In February 2022, Vayson challenged Indonesian Tibo Monabesa for the WBC international 108 title, knocking Monabesa down twice and controlling the 12-round rumble.

However, the Indonesian judges awarded Monabesa a controversial decision victory.

The WBC from Mexico later declared the fight a “no contest“ and ordered a rematch, which never took place.

Despite the controversy, Vayson showed excellent sportsmanship, congratulating Monabesa.

This display of class and humility has earned Vayson admiration from fans.

The Opponent

Oscar Collazo, nicknamed "El Pupilo," has made waves in Puerto Rican boxing.

That’s in part because he became the fastest boxer from the island to win a world title, achieving the feat in just seven professional fights.

Collazo has made five successful title defenses, including devastating knockout wins over Garen Diagan and Thammanoon Niyomtrong.
