Unbeaten 23-year-old Japanese Kyosuke Takami 高見亨介 (10-0, 8 KOs) outclassed, dropped, stopped and dethroned strong Erick Rosa of the Dominican Republic to become the new WBA Light Flyweight World Champion today, July 30, at the Yokohama Buntai in Japan, LIVE on ESPN Knockout and DAZN.

From the get-go the Teiken fighter made good use of his superior skills and reach to outbox the tough Rosa, landing on the "Mini Pacman" with precision and power till the 10th round when he rocked the tired Rosa with a furious counter, rocking him down into a neutral corner.

Lion-hearted Rosa, 25, made it up, but just to be overwhelmed once again by the Nippon warrior till the referee deemed necessary to waive it all off.

With Takami becoming the new world champion, Filipino AJ Paciones (11-0, 6 KOs) becomes the highest rated boxer in the WBA 108 rankings, with Jayson Vayson (14-1-1, 8 KOs) staying as world’s # 11.

A fantastic win for the skilled Kyosuke Takami who becomes champion of the world in his 10th professional fight. 日本、新たな世界チャンピオンおめでとうございます 🇯🇵 !
