Nakagawa Claims WBO Oriental 126 Belt; Griffiths, Arsalan, Phanaluk Score Exciting Wins in Brico Santig's Show in Thailand (PHOTOS)

BANGKOK, Thailand — Nakagawa became the new WBO Oriental belt holder, while Griffiths, Arsalan, and Phanaluk scored exciting wins in Brico Santig's Highland Boxing show Saturday, July 26, at the World Siam Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the competitive main event, tough Japanese warrior Mugicha Nakagawa (31-11-3, 19 KOs) of Osaka made good use of his skills and wider experience to stop in the 10th and final-round game 23-year-old Korean Sang Yeon Kim (7-2, 3 KOs), to conquer the vacant WBO Oriental 126-pound strap.
The knockout victory might get the veteran Nippon fighter into the world-rankings in the tough division where the unbeaten reigning world champion is Rafael “El Divino” Espinoza (27-0, 23 KOs) of Guadalajara, Mexico.

In the co-feature, promising, undefeated 23-year-old Jackson "Stoneleigh" Griffiths (18-0, 9 KOs) of Queensland, Australia, outclassed and demolished the more-experienced 27-year-old former Asian champ Campee Phayom (27-17-2, 19 KOs) for an early chapter two TKO win in the welterweight division.
Trained by Australian Man of Boxing Brendon Smith — owner of the Smithy's TGW Gym — Griffiths looked in total control in his 4th fight outside Australia.

The unbeaten Jackson "Stoneleigh" Griffiths is already scheduled for another battle on November 8th at the Rumours International in his native Garden City of Toowoomba, Queensland.
Another Australian scoring an exciting stoppage win here in Thailand was cute, young, tall, and strong "The Last of the Mohicans Girl" Lekaysha Woodbridge, earning a devastating round two TKO triumph over brave 19-year-old Thai fight girl Phatcharaphon Kransakun.
Lekaysha, 18, who weighed-in at 49 kilos, is trained by her dad, coach Brendon Smith.

In more action, fast and furious 20-year-old Super Flyweight Kwahli Beauchamp (4-0, 3 KOs) of Christchurch, New Zealand, twice decked and pounded heavy leather on Thai warrior Jakapong Detpong, 20, till referee Carlos Costa of Cebu had to waive off.
Kwahli Beauchamp's win was a non-title round one TKO triumph in the 115-lbs weight-class.
In more women's action, Thai battle-tested woman warrior Phannaluk Kongsang (18-15-1, 9 KOs) of the popular Highland Gym in Bangkok scored a unanimous decision win over fellow Thai Kanyanat Chotchun (5-8, 4 KOs).
With superior, more refined boxing skills and reach, the 30-year-old Phannaluk of Khon Kaen in Northern Thailand completely dominated the 6-chapter match.
In super featherweights, Iranian former amateur standout Arsalan Dastparvar (2-0, 1 KO) decisioned exciting, coming-forward Chinese warrior Qing Wang.
It was a clash in which both fighters give fans entertaining action in the 130-pound weight-class.
Despite being out-landed, the relentless Qing Wang never ceased to press the action, earning cheers from the crowd.

Earlier in the show, hard-hitting 29-year-old "Turbo" Ari Agustian (9-2, 9 KOs) from Indonesia’s “Equator City” of Pontianak vaporized and leveled the younger and much taller Kritsana Boonkoson for a round one TKO win in the light heavyweight division.
In another women's fight, cute 23-year-old battle girl Amonrat Mitsiriwat (3-0, 1 KO) scored her third consecutive victory against zero defeats by dropping and stopping brave 17-year-old Wanasanan Onuch (7-5-2, 5 KOs) of the Manopchai Gym. The third woman in the ring was Mrs. Phakhaphon Songmani.
In yet more action, unbeaten 26-year-old Ameero Haiqal Ilhami (4-0, 3 KOs) of Malaysia defeated the much-younger 15-year-old Thanathon Kaenchan during their clash in the Light Flyweight division.
Whatsmore, tall 27-year-old Cruiserweight Robert Oisin Collins (1-0, 1 KO) of Ireland stepped with success into pro boxing with a round one big bang demolition work of Maitri Taiphan of Thailand.
In an all-Thai affair, Worawut Singhabutr (1-8, 1 KO) obliterated 21-year-old Anawin Donaiem in a prelim bout in the middleweight division.
Billed as “Fight for the Future,” the entertaining Bangkok show was promoted by Brico Santig and Supanat Chanram of Highland Boxing in association with the Naris Singwancha Foundation.
