
Yanon is PBF flyweight champ

ABUBAKAR “The Bomb” Yanon of General Santos City is now the new Philippine Boxing Federation flyweight champion.
Yanon defeated Ariston “Double A” Aton of Lapu-Lapu City by unanimous decision to win the vacant title last July 11 in Malungon, Sarangani Province.
Yanon now has seven wins with one loss and six knockouts while Aton suffered his 15 losses with nine wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, former Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation bantamweight champion Froilan “The Sniper” Saludar of Polomolok landed a solid right on the midsection to stop Bukidnon’s Jeny Boy Boca in the 4th round.
The 36-year-old Saludar improved his record to 37 wins with 26 knockouts against eight loses and one draw while Boca took his 19th defeat against 14 wins.

Gabriel Tapales of Sanman Boxing stopped Ian Donaire of Davao City in the 2nd round by a knockout
Claire Villarosa of RCT Hongkong defeated Briel Ozaraga via a quick 2nd round KO
Lourinz Biasong of Sanman Boxing beat Ramel Antaran by a hard-fought majority decision
Jim Claude Manangquil is the promoter while Anthony Joaquin Arieta is the matchmaker.
