Ekaterinburg, Russia – IBA President Umar Kremlev is determined to organize the third fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol in Russia and is exploring the best venues to hold the event. On Monday, President Kremlev met with the Sverdlovsk Region governor Evgeny Kuyvashev and discussed the opportunity to bring the trilogy to Ekaterinburg.

Having hosted IBA Men’s World Boxing Championships in 2019, as well as events of World Boxing Super Series, the city of Ekaterinburg has huge experience in delivering top-notch boxing shows. The newly-built UGMK Arena is considered as a potential venue of Beterbiev vs Bivol 3.

‘I propose that Ekaterinburg hosts the final fight of Beterbiev vs Bivol trilogy at the new arena,’ said President Kremlev. ‘The city has already been the capital of international boxing, and I am confident that this event will become a memorable one for all participants and guests. Russia needs a boxing show of this magnitude, and it is our duty to bring this fight of two great champions of light heavyweight to Russia. We have already started the negotiations and we are confident in a positive outcome.’

Governor Kuyvashev accepted the proposal and has agreed to assist in the organization of bringing this event to the city of Ekaterinburg.

It was also agreed that Ekaterinburg would host the Men’s Championships of Russia in 2025.
