PSFI to continue grassroots activities

THE Pilipinas Sambo Federation Inc. [PSFI] will continue with its grassroots activities in different regions of the country this year.
“We will continue the program which was started already in Davao City,” said re-elected PSFI president Paolo Tancontian.
Also in priority is the coming international competition which is the 2025 Dutch Sambo in March.
Together with secretary Janet Sy and national coach Ace Larida, Tancontian paid a visit to Commissioner Matthew “Fritz” Gaston at the Philippine Sports Commission in Manila.
They presented their plans and programs for 2025 to 2028 aside from reporting their achievements last year.
It will be Tancontian’s second term after elections were held last December 21 at Hotel Galleria.
The PSFI is also composed of James Leetong as 1st Vice President and Roselyn Dayanan as 2nd Vice President.
Janet T. Sy is the secretary general, Rhea Mae Relampagos (treasurer) and Board Members Engr. Ralph Yee and Dr. Rover Magdale.
The Board of Commissioners are Jonna Mae Cabasan (Women in Sports), Dr. Rover Magdale (Medical and Doping), Chino Sy (Athlete), Atty. Erika Aira Peralta (Legal), Sydney Sy (Technical), Ace Larida (Differently Abled), Roselyn Dayanan (Ethics and Disciplinary), Jerry Legaspi (Sport and Active Society), Gerard Arce (Commission for Sambo Development in Universities and Schools) and Ferdinand Galido (Marketing and Media).
