WORLD-RATED Dave “Dobermann” Apolinario of Sarangani will fight again on December 18 at the Bula Gym in General Santos City after a heartbreaking world-title loss in Mexico.

The 25-year-old Apolinario will fight veteran Jenny Boy “Camiguin Tiger” Boca of Bukidnon in 6-rounds.

Apolinario wants to get back his confidence in the ring after losing to Mexican Angel Ayala Lardizabal by a 6th round knockout for the vacant IBF World flyweight title last August 9, 2024 in Mexico City.

Apolinario, who is rated no. 10 by the IBF, suffered his first setback after 20 wins with 14 knockouts.

He knocked out Tanes Ongiunta of Thailand in the 4th round last February 22 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo to earn a shot for the IBF World title.

Apolinario wants a rematch with Lardizabal for the title.

“Yes, we will seek a rematch soon”, said manager JC Manangquil of Sanman Boxing.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Boca [14-16-0, 12KOs] recently lost by a 1st round knockout to Reymart Gaballo of Gensan last August 30 in Polomolok.

The Apolinario-Boca fight is one of the supporting matches of the IBO World minimum weight title fight between former 3-time world champion Katsunari Takayama of Japan against undefeated Kha Lu of Australia in the main event.

It is a free Christmas Day presentation by the Sanman Boxing Production under Jean Claude Manangquil, John Ray Manangquil and Dexter Tan.
