Charly Suarez remained No. 1 in WBO super featherweight rankings for November. He scored an impressive third-round TKO win over Jorge Castaneda of Texas, USA last September 20 at the Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale, Arizona, USA. With this victory, his professional record now stands at 18 wins, including 10 by knockout.

Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo climbed to No. 3 in WBO super featherweight rankings for November. He was previously ranked No. 4. He is closing in on another world title shot after winning the WBA intercontinental super featherweight title with a lopsided unanimous decision over Mexican former interim world titleholder Eduardo Ramirez on June 15 at the Grand Garden Arena of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, USA.

John Riel Casimero dropped to No. 7 in the WBO super bantamweight November rankings. Previously he was ranked No. 6. He outclassed American Saul Sanchez on October 13, scoring a quick first-round TKO win in their superbantamweight fight on October 13 in Yokohama, Budokan in Japan.

The 35-year-old Filipino, who failed to make weight for the 10-round non-title bout, has been slapped with a one-year ban by the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) for being overweight by a kilogram. Casimero (34-4-1, with 23 KOs) has held titles in the junior flyweight, flyweight and bantamweight divisions.

Carl Jammes Martin remains No. 2 in WBO super bantamweight rankings for November. His latest fight was a second-round stoppage in his international debut against Mexican Anthony Jimenez Salas last September 24 in Sinaloa, Mexico. He improved his perfect record to 24-0 with 19 knockouts.

The other WBO contenders are: Jayr Raquinel (No. 15 jr. bantamweight), Lorenz Dumam-ag (No. 13 flyweight), Regie Suganob (No. 1 jr. flyweight), Jayson Vayson (No. 4 jr. flyweight), Vince Paras (No. 6 jr. flyweight), Cristian Araneta (No. 8 jr. flyweight), Victorio Saludar (No. 2 mini-flyweight), Joey Canoy (No. 9 mini-flyweight), Samuel Salva (No. 12 mini-flyweight), and Christian Balunan (No. 12 mini-flyweight).

Kristaps Porzingis of Boston Celtics and Ja Morant of Memphis Grizzlies made successful long-awaited NBA returns from respective injuries on Monday. Porzingis scored 16 points, connecting 5-of-6 from the 3-point range, with six rebounds, two blocks and two assists in 23 minutes for the defending champion Celtics in a 126-94 home win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

At Memphis, Morant was back to his all-star playing form to power the Grizzlies over Portland Trailblazers 123-98. Morant shot 20 of his 22 points in the first half and contributed 11 assists for Memphis. Morant has missed the past eight games for the Grizzlies after suffering a hip injury when he fell during the game against the Los Angeles Lakers on November 6.
