FORMER University of Mindanao track star Sonny Wagdos and current UM varsity Lyka Catubig topped the MILO National Marathon 2024 Davao Leg 21-kilometer race today, November 17, Sunday at SM Lanang in Davao City.

Wagdos ruled the men’s division with a time of one hour, 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

“I'm tired of driving a motorcycle from Butuan here,” said the 31-year-old Wagdos on Facebook.

Catubig, on the other hand, dominated the distaff side at 1:30:15.

“From being fifth in the 5km race back in 2019 to winning the women's 21km category in the Milo marathon,” said the 20-year-old Catubig on Facebook.

Catubig thanked UM for providing the sponsor spot to join the race organized by local organizer Kenneth Sai of Kinetix Sports.
