Alberca loses by 4th round KO

ALAN Alberca of Zamboanga del Norte lost by a 4th round knockout to former International Boxing Federation World super featherweight champion Kenichi Ogawa of Japan last October 5 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

The 27-year-old Alberca, who is now based in Manila, suffered his 9th setback against 13 wins while Ogawa improved to 29 wins with 20 knockouts, two loses and one draw.

In the main event, unbeaten Suburu Murata scored a 9th round technical knockout against undefeated Kaito Yamasaki to claim the vacant WBO Asian Pacific super bantamweight 12-rounds title.

Murata now has 8th straight wins while Yamasaki suffered his first setback after nine wins.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Francisco of Zamboanga City failed in his title-bid against Asian Boxing Federation featherweight champion Sangkaphong Chomyong of Thailand last October 5 at Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok.
