
Alberca to fight former IBF World champ

ALAN Alberca of Zamboanga del Norte will fight former International Boxing Federation World super featherweight champion Kenichi Ogawa of Japan on October 5 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
The 27-year-old Alberca, who is now based in Manila, recently retired Jason Tinampay of Bohol in the 6th round last April 30, 2024 at Sindangan Municipal Gym in Sindangan.
Alberca has 13 wins with eight knockouts against eight loses while Ogawa has 28 wins with 19 knockouts, two loses and one draw.
Ogawa has won twice already in 2023 after he lost his title in June 2022 by knockout in the 2nd round against Joe Cordina of the United Kingdom.
The fight between Alberca and Ogawa is scheduled for 8 rounds.
The main event will be Suburu Murata [7-0-0, 7KOs] against Kaito Yamasaki [9-0-0, 5KOs] for the WBO Asian Pacific super bantamweight 12-rounds title.
