
Lipon, Acera top rated in APM 14 and under

MICHAEL Jhon Angelo Lipon and Isaac Jude Nino Acera are the top two rated players in the APM Chessmates Kiddies [14 and under] on October 5 at the Damosa Market Basket in Lanang, Davao City.
Lipon is ranked no. 1 with rating with 1860 while Acera is no. 2 with 1632.
Zeus Lawrence Indoy, also from Davao City is ranked third with 1612 followed by John Julius Anana of Padada, Davao del Sur is fourth with 1592.
The rest of the players are:
Joshua James Ballao, Jannah Bein Rabanes, Jasfer Kevin Manlod, Francis James Togonon, Abdul Rahman Umpar, Alfonzo Almendras, Jocob Asusa, Melver Red Hamoy, Carl Ian Operiano, Josh Matthew Sy, Jude Philip Sy and Ma. Isabel Tan.
Meanwhile, there are now three players already in the Junior 20 and under division.
They are Joemire Dave Loremas, Jovan Andrei Makig-angay and Azriel Raquel.
The registration fee is P350 for Junior and P300 for kiddies.
The champion in the Junior will pocket P2,500 plus a medal. The second will get P1,500 and a medal, 3rd – P750 + medal, 4th – P500 + medal, P500 + medal.
The Kiddies champion will get P2,000 and a medal.
The 2nd – P1,000 + medal, 3rd – P750 + medal, 4th – P500 + medal, 5th – P500 + medal.
The time control [rapid] is 15 minutes plus three seconds increment with a total of six rounds.
The tournament director is NA Joseph Gener Palero while Deputy Chief Arbiter is NA AIM Alfred Moulic.
