
NCA’s Rapid Chess showdown on Sept. 15 in SMX

THE 1st NCA's Rapid Chess Showdown will be held on September 15 at the SMX Convention Center, 3rd Floor in SM Lanang, Davao City.
There will be three categories – Open, Government Employees and the 17 years old and under.
The event, under the theme, “Checkmate Crime: Strategy for safety”, is organized by NCA'S and Zugzwangers Sports Club.
Six rounds will be played under the Swiss System.
Jeff de Castro is the tournament director while Chief arbiter is NA Joseph Gener Palero.
Deputy Chief Arbiter is NA AIM Alfred Moulic.
Meanwhile, the players listed in the Open are AGM Irwin Aton, Aaron Aton of Davao City, AGM Adres Miguel Jorgio of General Santos City, James Hinampas of Panabo City and Zamrudin Misquinan of Pikit, North Cotabato.
Also from Davao are Gerald Camus, Lauro Jasma, Armando Sasam, Gabrielle Aton, Steven Lawrence Luy, Beatrice Aton, Jess Clarence Arreza and Jun Mari Manila.
