4th Cong. Alan R. Dujali Nat’l Chess Open on Sept. 28-29

THE 4th Cong. Alan R. Dujali Nat’l Chess Open and Team Rapid Chess Championship will be held on September 28 and 29 at the Pasag Grill and Folk House in Maria Clara Resorts Compound, Panabo City.

Among the early entries are National Master Henry Roger Lopez of Panabo, NM Joey Albert Florendo of Zamboanga City, NM Giovanni Mejia and WFM Cherry Ann Mejia of Luzon, NM Rolzon Roullo, NM Macacuna Macala and AGM Irwin Atom, Anatoly Pascua, Theseus Benitez of Bacolod and FM Jethro Dino Aquino.

“Grand Master Eugen Torre, the first Asian grand master, is coming to be the special guest,” said NA Darwin Bermudez.

IM Roderick “Kamatyas’ Nava is also having a special participation.

Meanwhile, there are now eight teams in the Tatlohan Open division:

1. JP Fen – Carlo Doctolero, Danilo Geverola and Jonald Fenecios

2. Master Port Services – Giovanni Mejia, Paulino Garcia and Cris Pilones

3. Bacolod City – Theseus Benitez, Eric Abanco and Joseph Navarra

4. BNU Ubanan – Nazario Ubanan, Bryan Jose and Kinmaril Virtudazo

5. BNU Jethro – FM Jethro Aquino, Anatoly Pascua and Jaycol Sodela

6. ABS Farms – Werner Priete, Nofre Reyes and Arnold Jabilles

7. LEX Talionis – Denzel John Amar, Sherwin Orbeta and Roland Reyes

8. Blue Eagles – Napoleon Recososa, Eddie Resurreccion and Christopher Yap
