
Abubakar is WBC Asian Silver super featherweight champ

AIMAN “A B” Abubakar of Malaysia is now the new World Boxing Council [WBC] Asian Silver super featherweight champion.
The 32-year-old Abubakar, who is based in Mandaluyong City, stopped Patrick Liukhoto of Indonesia in the 4th round last August 10 at Barangay Namayan Covered Court in Mandaluyong.
Abubakar now has 11 wins, 2 loses, 1 draw with six knockouts while the 30-year-old Liukhoto suffered his 4th setback against 17 wins and 2 draws.
Meanwhile, John Vincent Lauriaga pulled a 4th round technical knockout against Kenneth Albino. Albino was down once in Round 3 and 4.
Vilma Acosta was the promoter.
