PETRON Monteverde and Kinitex Sports are both supporting the 1st Kap. Omar Duterte Basic Mountaineering Course set on August 24 and 25 at the GAP Farming Resort in Green Meadows, Ma-a, Davao City.

Petron Monteverde is owned by William “Tata” Haw, former president of the long-running Sunday Runners Club.

Kinitex Sports, on the other hand, is owned by Kenneth Sai, son of the late legendary organizer of marathons in Davao - Victorio “Vic” Sai.

Kinitex is coming up with the second leg of HOKA Trilogy Run Asia Davao on August 25 at Azuela Cove, Davao City.

Meanwhile, the BMC is organized by SCOOP News Davao in coordination with the Mountaineering Federation of Southern Mindanao [MFSM].

“The climbers or would-be climbers will be equipped, skilled and well-trained mountaineers,” said MFSM President Gene Jimboy Sumampong.

Registration fee is P1,500 with free event shirt, certificate, event ID, bag tag, free pass at venue and swimming pool, snacks, materials needed during actual application, raffles and freebies.
