Panceto, Mamumay rule 50K Madayaw Run

JOEY Wison Panceto and Ging Mamugay ruled the rare 50-kilometer Madayaw Run 2024 last April 3, Saturday at the NCCC Mall Victoria Plaza in Bajada.

Panceto of the Island Garden of Samal clocked 4 hours, 8 minutes and 14 seconds to win the men’s division.

He was followed by Jepoy Tabacon at 4:19:18.

The 3rd placer to 5th were Angelito Vertudazo [4:28:05], Francis Key Collado [4:35:52] and Erwin Mornan [4:50:28].

Mamugay of Mati City topped the distaff side with a time of 5:56:34.

Second was Sunshine Tabaranza at 6:4:55 followed by Jenelyn Bonboc [7:06:21].

Meanwhile, Jimboy Lugay and Madeline Carter emerged as the winners in the 21K division last August 4.

Lugay won the men’s division with a time of 1:12:56 followed by Elmer Bartolol 1:15:30.

Third was Mark Luigi Joyce [1:24:54] followed by Isias Sevillo [1:31:54] and James Hill [1:32:56].

Carter, on the other hand, ruled the women’s with 1:42:27.

She was followed by Joy Beltran [1:46:26] and Rosealin Dagno [2:00:03].

5k women – 1. Zaira Dizon [20:51] 2. Ella Ano [25:03] 3. Julia Marani [26:51] 4. Rimzen Yugo [26:53] 5. Lysse Nieda Corson [26:59]
