Pontinos rule Sarbay Jetski Race 2024

GLAN, Sarangani – The Pontinos proved that it is their own turf by dominating the Sarbay Invitational Jetsi Race held last May 24 and 25 at the Hirozon Beach.
Cozy Lorenzo Pontino won three events - Expert Ski Stock, ProSki GP and Runabout Naturally Aspirated Open.
The 17-year-old Pontino scored 180 points to win the Expert Ski Stock.
He was followed by his own father Felix Pontino Jr., who carded 159.
Third and fourth were Japanese riders Ryoji Higashino [139] and Ahio Toyoda [134].
Pontino topped the Pro Ski GP by tallying 173 points.
Second was Higashino followed by Pontino Jr. [149].
Pontino also barged into the Runabout Naturally Aspirated Open with 161.
He was followed closely by Angelo Ventus [156].
Third was lady rider Kristine Kate Mercado [147] followed bySabino Manglicmot [140] and his 20-year-old brother Nathan Duane Pontino [125].
Pontino Jr., however, struck in the Veterans Ski Stock byscoring 120.
Akio Toyota [106] is second followed by Yanick Elnar [48].
Mercado, however, got the better of the Novice Ski Stock with173.
Her sister Kayla Marie Mercado was second at 166 followed by Nathan Duane Pontino [144].
But Kayla Marie conquered the Novice Runabout 1100 Stock and Women Runabout 1100.
She tallied 161 points in winning the Novice Runabout 1100 Stockto beat Jesse Arcilla.
Third was Matt Abanez [151]. Kayla Marie carded 173 to also beat Arcilla [156], Bea Abanez [139],Bea Abenir [131], Denise Ruiz [118] and Minerva Benzonan [114].
SoCSarGen Jet SportsAssociation president Kristine Kate Mercado led the awarding rites at Hirozon Beach.
It was held in cooperation with Jet SportsAssociation of the Philippines [JSAP] and Body Kinetix Event Services and Management.
