Kopiat Swim Challenge on May 25

DAVAO CITY – The much-awaited 2nd Kopiat Swim Challenge 2024 will be held on May 25 at the Sea Eagle Beach Resort in Mabini, Davao de Oro.

It will have two categories for 1.5K and 2.5K.

The 1.5K is for ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 and the 2.5K for ages 15-16, 17-18, 19-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50 and 51 and over.

Registration fee is P2,000 with free finisher’s medal, event shirt, lunch and water, event cap, use of timing chip and free use of swim buoy.

This event is organized by the Municipality of Mabini and the DOT of the province of Davao and DOT Mabini in partnership with MADWAVE Philippines.

“This is part of their Kadasig Festival,” said race director Jose Ronaldo Vibar.

It is supported by Cong. Ruwel Peter Gonzaga [District 2], Mabini Mayor Emerson Luego and Davao del Oro Gov. Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga.

Last year’s race was participated by 186 swimmers.
