Saludar ready to fight Yotboon

WORLD Boxing Organization [WBO] No. 2 Vic “Vicious” Saludar of Polomolok, South Cotabato is set to fight Sangchai Yotboon of Thailand for the vacant WBO Oriental minimumweight title tomorrow, May 1 at the Mandaue City Sports Cultural and Complex in Mandaue City.

“I don't have to be over confident because I know that my opponent has also trained and is also prepared to fight tomorrow,” said Saludar.

The 33-year-old Saludar said that they will just see tomorrow at the ring.

Saludar, the reigning Asian Boxing Federation [ABF] minimumweight champion, recently stopped Francis Jay “The Amazing Boy” Diaz of Cagayan de Oro City in the 6th round to win the ABF light flyweight title last December 16, 2023 at the Naga Sports Complex in Naga City.

Saludar now has 24 wins, 6 loses with 14 knockouts while Yotboon has 14 wins, 7 loses and 9 knockouts.

Meanwhile, undefeated Ramil Macado [8-0-0, 4KOs] of Koronadal City will trade leathers with Lorenz Dumamag [9-0-1, 6KOs] of Zamboanga del Norte for the vacant WBO Oriental flyweight title fight in the other 12-round main event.

Casey Croft vs. Peevalux Sabpokang [6 rds]

Raffie Jamero vs. John Ver Espra [6 rds]

Riel Gabunilas vs. Ronald Ewican [6 rds]

Jhon Magos vs, Grant Elorza [6 rds]

Ramil Roda vs. Isagani Saludar [4 rds]

The promoters are Eva Marie Arquisola of ARQ Sports and Kenneth Rontal of Championship Boxing Development Philippines.
