WORLD Boxing Organization [WBO] no. 2 Vic “Vicious” Saludar of Polomolok, South Cotabato will fight against Sangchai Yotboon of Thailand for the vacant WBO Oriental minimumweight title on May 1 at the Mandaue City Sports Cultural and Complex in Mandaue City.

The 33-year-old Saludar, the reigning Asian Boxing Federation [ABF] minimumweight champion, recently stopped Francis Jay “The Amazing Boy” Diaz of Cagayan de Oro City in the 6th round to win the ABF light flyweight title last December 16, 2023 in Naga Sports Complex in Naga City.

Saludar now has 24 wins, 6 loses with 14 knockouts while Yotboon has 14 wins, 7 loses and 9 knockouts.

The 26-year-old Yotboon has previously beaten Somphn Banyaem by a unanimous decision last February 27, 2024 at Withayakho School in Thailand.

Meanwhile, undefeated Ramil Macado [8-0-0, 4KOs] of Koronadal City will trade Lorenz Dumamag [9-0-1, 6KOs] of Zamboanga del Norte for the vacant WBO Oriental flyweight title fight in the other main event.
