Facularin (L) and Pagaling (R).

ORTHODOX Jason “The Pain” Facularin of Davao City will fight James “Dynamite” Pagaling of Misamis Oriental on April 21 at the Manolo Fortich Municipal Gymnasium in Manolo Fortich.

The 24-year-old Facularin, who is training at the Toril Ringmaster Boxing Gym in Toril, still weighs 121 kilograms.

Their weight limit in the fight is 118 kilograms.

Facularin's sparring mates are Angelo Beltran and Richard Lofranco.

Facularin [7-1-0, 7KOs] had five fights last year and he lost only once against Kenneth Egano of General Santos City last May 6, 2023 in Imus, Cavite.

Egano won the fight but collapsed in his corner during the announcement of the bout result. He died later.

Facularin won in his last bout against Ramel Antaran of Gensan by first round knockout on December 20, 2023 at Mainit Municipal Gym in Mainit, Surigao del Norte.

“The fight will be a good one because we both trained and my opponent is strong,” said Facularin.

Pagaling [8-2-0, 5KOs], on the other hand, suffered two losses last year in his career.

He was knocked out by undefeated Kenneth Llover of General Trias in the 4th round last July 29 in the vacant Philippine Youth bantamweight title fight in San Juan City.

Pagaling then suffered a technical knockout in the 3rd round against Sho Ishida of Japan last December 10 at EDION Arena in Osaka.

The boxing event will be held as part of the fiesta celebration of Manolo Fortich.

A total of 14 bouts will be featured in the event that is promoted by Justine Firmo Aligato of Toril.
